Claw and change
a bird in the night
sleeping blind
white clouds
black dog is alive
crow cried
You can climb mountains
you can run in the breeze
you are inside a machine of bones
and times running out
Make it to the lighthouse Swimming until youre out of breath
No shelter from the sea wind a witch whispers words of drowning in your ear
Inside your skull youre an embreyo
We all hide the screams of an animal
Head laid on pillows of frozen snow
Cicadas pray that they'll see day
As you sink into your ship of bones and sleep all day
Shine a search light inside of you
Almond eyes mirror fires
Sinking to the bottom of the pool
Spinning round with the room on fire
you will eat your own skin
Fell through the floor again running to the southbound train
It's somewhere new you're running but you turned up paralysed again
Stiffen up your coat
Drink another cup
the devil in your throat
was an eskimo
This is some great music for a morose, rainy day. Lush, sedate, bluesy, and with a certain apocalyptic flair, most evident on White Horses, which sounds very much like a psychedelic blues dirge.
I appreciate that the songs sometimes lose themselves along the way, giving way to some beautiful psych explorations. I also enjoy the vocals on this - they sometimes waver, but they fit the music so well. Smekermann
