I was a lamb in a dream
I knelt down to taste the ground
Weren't the kind of things to seperate
We stayed together through the summer
Spring was a time to give birth
my friend gestured her kissed first
the farmers shoes like atom bombs
Dismember me with a song
Mother did you give me all this life to be running
One thousand bees swarm around
the old dog whos destined for the ground
i watch him walk in lines over new grass
The inevitable beauty of our demise
Thrown in the same old black hole
I cannot wake up from the dream
In a mindless nowhere
Found my mother hiding in the wiry brushes
She had been frightened by the passing buses
was it the sound
or the ocean like wave of the flags
No dust reflecting, just winter showed
I forgot myself in the snow
I left little tracks for the shadow of an axe
Flowed into my eyes
All the scenery that led me here
I left it frozen there
Unborn me somehow
Disappear me now
All the leaves of sadness led me here
I never found a way out of the mirror
Who set the moon alight
My heart could hear the music of the spheres
All the hands of kindness led me here
I was grown up to die
This is some great music for a morose, rainy day. Lush, sedate, bluesy, and with a certain apocalyptic flair, most evident on White Horses, which sounds very much like a psychedelic blues dirge.
I appreciate that the songs sometimes lose themselves along the way, giving way to some beautiful psych explorations. I also enjoy the vocals on this - they sometimes waver, but they fit the music so well. Smekermann
